Balewrap Monitor FAQ |
-
WHAT IS A BALEWRAP MONITOR?
-
A Balewrap Monitor, sometimes
called a Bale & Wrap Monitor or even just a Wrap Monitor, is an
instrument for counting the number of rotations of the turntable of a
bale wrapping machine. This is a vital piece of equipment. One turn
too many is expensive in wasted film. One turn too few means that
part of the bale does not have a full cover of film, and an
unsatisfactory operation has been performed. The monitor has the
additional important function of counting the number of bales wrapped.
-
WHO NEEDS ONE?
-
Any farmer or contractor who is
involved in wrapping bales must have a serviceable Balewrap monitor,
for the reasons outlined above. If the wrapping machine is not fitted
with a monitor or the existing monitor is unserviceable, it will be
impossible to complete a satisfactory job. In addition it is
important for a farmer and/or contractor to know how many bales have
been wrapped.
